COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines

What's new in Guidlines

Remdesivir:

It is recommened that remdesivir for use in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 who requires supplemental Oxyzen but who are not mechanically ventilated or on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(BI).

Corticosteroids(Including Dexamethasone):

Dexamethasone is used in patients who are mechanically ventilated and in patients who require supplemental oxygen but who are not mechanically ventilated. 

New sections of the Guidlines- No change to the panel's recommendations or ongoing clinical trials for treatment of Covid-19

Adjuntive Therapy like Vitamin C,Vitamin D and Zinc Supplementation

Prevention and Prophylaxis of SARS-CoV-2 Infection

Hydroxychloroquin plus Azithromycin

Blood-Derived products like convalescent plasma

Immunomodulators like Alfa and Beta interferons

Kinase inhibitors- Like Janus Kinase(JAK) inhibitors and Bruton's tyrosine Kinase (BTK) inhibitors

Lopinavir/Ritonavir and other HIV protease Inhibitors.
